Mayfest

Join the Chicago May Fest Committee as the bring to Lincoln Square the yearly German celebration welcoming the arrival of Spring.  Committee President Joe Matuschka and Committee Vice-President Matt Lodge bring the highly anticipated event to Lincoln Square each year at the corners of N. Lincoln Avenue and W. Leland Avenue.

Mayfest is still celebrated throughout Germany with the maypole (maibaum) decorated to show off the history and crafts of the local village or town.  Mayfest, like Octoberfest, has now become a popular celebration throughout the world. Chicago's German community welcomes all to their Mayfest in Lincoln Square; the heart of Chicago's German Community.  This annual German festival features live music and maypole dancing, German food, and beer.
