DESCRIPTION:Take a day off from the hustle and bustle of city living with Lillstreet! Our one-day retreats offer you the chance to relax and renew as you immerse yourself in the creative process. Each retreat will be a unique combination of a 75-minute yoga class (for all levels)\, healthy catered lunch and three-hours of hands-on art instruction. Everyone will leave the retreat with handmade artwork!\n \n\nYoga class will be taught by Bloom Yoga  instructors in a hatha/gentle vinyasa style with appropriate modifications offered for students of all levels. Class will focus on connecting breath and movement in a conscious way to prime the body and mind for a creative afternoon. Each art workshop will be instructed by an accomplished Lillstreet teaching artist.\n\n \n\nEnjoy the lovely summer weather while learning to paint "en plein air\," or in the open air. This portion of the retreat will take place on Lillstreet's beautiful rooftop deck. Many French Impressionist painters such as Claude Monet advocated en plein air painting\, and much of their work was done outdoors. Painting from life is a pursuit unlike any other painting technique\, come learn how and create a painting of the urban landscape from the relaxing roof deck!\n\n \n\nIn this class you will:\n\n~ Be in the moment\n\n~ Enjoy the Lillstreet roof deck garden\n\n~ Learn the basics of perspective\, composition\, and paint mixing\n\n~ Make a completed painting of the urban landscape\n\n~ Have fun and maybe a drink a cocktail!\n\n \n\nSkill Level: No experience necessary.\n\n \n\nMaterial List   Make sure to bring a hat or sunglasses\n\n \n\n* Please note both Lillstreet Loft and the Lillstreet roof deck are only accessible by stairs.
