This is your chance to check out the newly renovated Davis Theater and Carbon Arc Bar & Board while seeing a documentary about the experience of refugees. \n\n\n\nThe Windy City Friends of Refugees are co-sponsoring a refugee family with Refugee One. Funds raised from this event will help a refugee family resettle in Chicago this fall. \n\n\n\nIn addition to providing rent and expenses for the family's first six months\, our group has committed to help by:\n\n- Welcoming the family at OHare and providing a hot meal upon their arrival.\n\n- Setting up the family's new apartment with furniture\, groceries\, household essentials\, and toiletries.\n\n- Visiting weekly for the first six months to provide encouragement\, language and job search assistance\, tutoring for school-aged children\, and help adjusting to a new city and culture. We'll ensure they have the basics they need\, and plan outings to experience Chicago.\n\n\n\n\n\nDon't forget to bring some extra cash on the night of the movie!
