DESCRIPTION:The Bach and Beyond Ensemble presents Telemann's Concerto in D Major for 2 Oboe d'Amore\, cello\, and string orchestra at the DANK Haus German American Cultural Center on November 18\, 2012. Artistic Director Scott Will leads the Ensemble in a program that also features treasures of Mozart\, Bach\, and Bruckner and Bibel.\n\n\n\nThis outstanding afternoon of Germanic works is a benefit concert with a portion of ticket sales dedicated to restoration of the large-scale painting of Kaiser Wilhelm I in the DANK Haus German American Cultural Center collection. The 6' by 9' oil was painted in Prussia c 1870 and framed in the elaborate gilded style of Chicago's premier film houses.
