DESCRIPTION:Many Americans are familiar with the German beer purity laws\, but not the fact that in 2009 the European Union recognized Maultaschen as a "regional specialty\," significant to the cultural heritage of Baden-W rttemberg. This measure mandates that genuine Maultaschen are only produced in Swabia. \n\nEven though the EU may not approve\, students will learn to make this tasty German ravioli soup  -  meat and spinach filled dumpling served in a light chicken broth with vegetables.\n\nChef Joseph will provide the recipe\, demonstrate technique\, and offer some hands on training.  Attendees will learn how to make it from "scratch"\, as well as a short cut method.\n\nThe nominal class fee of $18 includes the hands-on demonstration\, recipes\, one drink\, and tasting.  Classes sell out quickly so please reserve your space promptly.\n\nKulturkueche - German Cooking Series is held monthly for all to learn German culinary traditions.
