SUMMARY:Lincoln Square Music Crawl
DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder what the soundtrack of Lincoln Square sounds like? On October 17th\, you'll have a chance to listen! Anchored by live music at four locations and a digital map\, all you need is yourself -- and you can walk the neighborhood listening to music created by your talented neighbors. Digital listening map is available at MyBlockMixtape. If you would like to donate towards our musicians grants - see the link here: https://donorbox.org/lincoln-square-music-crawl-2026 \n\nIn addition to the digital listening map\, we are also hosting live musicians at Ainslie Arts Plaza\, Platform 47\, Borelli's Pizzeria\, and Old Town School of Folk Music. Platform 47 has a Happy Hour menu in effect for the performance duration and Borelli's will be offering $5 pizza slices and a cash bar. Our current slate of performances:\n\nAinslie Arts Plaza - 11am-Noon Brad Robin featuring Pamela Spann (Rogers Park) Brad Robin is a composer and pianist whose recent piano works *Gleam*\, *Shimmer*\, and *Spread* won first place in the 2025 and 2023 Golden Key Piano Composition Competitions in Vienna\, respectively\, and second place in 2022. Pamela Spann is a mezzo-soprano who performs with the Opera Festival of Chicago. They will be performing an excerpt from Brad's new opera\, *The Rehearsal*.\n\nOld Town School Of Folk Music - Noon-2pm\n\n12pm Shelley Miller (Albany Park) Folk? Perhaps...late-night jukebox folk. Gospel for non-believers folk. Had-one-too-many-and-lived-to-tell folk. Rock hymns for the unhemmed folk.\n\n1:15pm - Red Star Ramblers (Edgewater) Old-time\, vintage country\, Americana\n\nPlatform 47 - 12:30 - 4:15pm\n\n12:30pm -- Superfrye (West Rogers Park) Imagine if Johnny Cash\, Patti Smith\, Nick Cave\, T-Bone Walker and Bob Dylan got together to write a song for Twin Peaks- that's Superfrye's music. \n\n1:30pm M4TR (Ravenswood) AJ Solaris' future wave art-pop project M4TR (Music 4 The Revolution) brings you good times for the end times. Merging synthpop\, nu-disco\, and funk with wit and social critique\, the project explores modern collapse and cosmic rebirth through a high-fidelity electronic lens.\n\n2:30pm -- Far Leys (Ravenswood) For this show\, I'll be playing songs from across my discography (including bands past and present). The throughline in all my songwriting is lyricism about dreams\, unreality\, and the deep recesses of memory\, paired with airy and sometimes dissonant harmonic sensibilities. \n\n3:30pm - Giselle Zemira (Lincoln Square) This music is for anyone who has fallen in love and (almost) fallen out of it: with a charming narcissist\, with the world\, with your work\, with yourself.\n\nBorelli's Pizzaria\n\n4pm - Supernova Blackout (Ravenswood) Moody and reflective alternative rock for the chronically depressed.\n\n5pm - Gregg Mandel (Ravenswood) Gregg has been writing in different styles and genres for over three decades. He currently spends most of his creative time writing music for film and television.\n\n6pm The Paper Cups (Rogers Park) Indie rock\, power pop\, and garage rock with occasional punk influences.\n\n7pm - ADHD Sad Boy (Ravenswood) Two-piece noise-gaze experimental rock project that strives to make loud music that will make heads explode.\n\n8pm - She's So Quiet (Albany Park) A sweet\, distorted and potent assortment of genres and tastes. Grunge for your mother.
