DESCRIPTION:Neuropathy is a broad term that describes an abnormality of the nervous system.  There are many causes that contribute to the manifestation of Neuropathy that can result in a variety of symptoms such as numbness\, tingling\, weakness\, ?shooting pains?\, ?pins and needles? and sensations of ?burning? pain to name just a few.  Some research estimates that 20 million Americans suffer from some form of neuropathy. Neuropathy can be misdiagnosed or interpreted as a side effect of another illness or medication. According to The Neuropathy Association\, ?a 1999 awareness survey reported that only 7% of all adults in the U.S. know about neuropathy?.   Ravenswood Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Chicago is raising awareness of neuropathy by providing free neuropathy screenings.  As with many conditions\, for some cases of neuropathy it is critical that it is detected and correctly diagnosed at an early stage for it to be effectively controlled.  Monday: May 17th through Friday: May  21st\, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM\, the center will accept walk-in consultations at which you can receive a complimentary screening and ask expert practitioners your neuropathy questions.
