DESCRIPTION:Beautifying & Improving the Public Way\n\n\n\nJoin us to discuss the proposed reconstitution of the Lincoln Square SSA at the following public meeting:\n\n	    Thursday\, March 10\, 2016 6:30pm at the DANK Haus 4740 N. Western Avenue 6th Floor Lounge   \n\nThe Special Service Area of Lincoln Square is an additional property tax levy on properties located along the commercial corridors of the community.  The Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is the sole service provider of the SSA and manages services along these corridors that are in addition to City of Chicago services.  Services include sidewalk litter removal\, trash receptacle servicing\, landscaping\, snow removal\, and customer attraction programs. A volunteer Commission of SSA taxpayers oversees the funding of such services and meetings are open to the public.\n\n\n\nThe City of Chicago's Dept. of Planning and Development oversees Special Service Areas and SSAs are governed by an Illinois State Statute.  At the completion of their term\, SSAs must go through a reconstitution process.
