The Great Chicago Pitch presents a peek inside the best docs-in-progress happening this fall in a live crowdfunding environment\, providing the audience with a look behind the curtain of how amazing documentary films get made.\n\n \n\nThe audience is diverse and includes industry executives\, funders\, cinephiles\, filmmakers\, and social cause organizations aligned with the issues at the heart of each film. The Great Chicago Pitch will enable live crowdfunding through moderated conversation. All audience members and donor Giving Circles will award a pool of funds to films of their choosing\, adding excitement for them and the film teams.\n\n \n\nThink TED Talk meets Shark Tank - The Great Chicago Pitch engages an audience of 200+ people to help get these important projects across the finish line and onto festival\, theatrical and broadcast premieres. In addition\, the pitch focuses on IMPACT: taking films from the screen out into neighborhoods far and wide to be used as a tool for community gathering\, engagement and action.\n\n \n\nThe Great Chicago Pitch will be moderated by Michael Strautmanis\, Chief Engagement Officer at the Obama Foundation.
