Strike a Pose: Clay in Action

Learn to capture movement and tell a story with this dynamic figurative workshop! Throughout his decades-long career, visiting artist Sean Clute utilizes the figure to explore the intricacies of human psychology and our responses to the world around us. Clute will guide the class through two distinct lessons: the expedient construction of a one-foot-tall figure and the manipulation of that figure into a dynamic pose.

By the end of this six-hour workshop, each student will have a figure in their chosen pose. The duration of the workshop will be seven hours with a hour break for lunch, during which the instructor will not be present. All figures will be bisqued by Lillstreet, but glaze firing will not be included as part of the workshop.
