The building across from the Western Avenue Brown Line will include studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

LINCOLN SQUARE — City Council signed off Wednesday on a plan to turn a city-owned parking lot into affordable housing in the heart of Lincoln Square.
Developer Community Builders wants to build a six-story, 63-unit apartment building at 4715 N. Western Ave., which is currently a parking lot across from the Western Avenue Brown Line station. The development would include ground-floor commercial space and 18 public parking spaces.
City Council approved the sale of the lot to Community Builders for the plan on Wednesday.
It’s the latest approval for the Lincoln Square development, which has been controversial and has undergone several revisions since it was proposed in 2020. Read more HERE
