Fritchey to host Property Tax Appeals Workshops
Lakeview Township Property Owners Can File Appeals On-Site
CHICAGO - Cook County Commissioner John Fritchey (D-12th), in conjunction with Cook County Assessor Joseph Berrios, will host two property tax appeals workshops for property owners in Lakeview Township. Property owners can find their township on the upper-right corner of their property tax bill.

At the April 16, 2012 workshop, representatives from the Assessor's Office will also help taxpayers determine if they qualify for the Long-Time Occupant exemption and assist them in completing and filing the applications. The exemption application deadline is April 18, 2012.
To qualify for the Long-Time Occupant exemption for the taxable year 2011, the property owner must have:
