"Real Prayers are said in German"- Movie Fundraiser and Story Share
Chicago Premiere & Fundraiser for "Real Prayers Are Said in German" - a movie in the making! The story:
In a close knit German farming community in central Illinois during WWII, the Baumann family must cope with illness, anti-German sentiment, and the poverty of war-time farming life. Instead of merely surviving, the children find solace and joy in their German heritage, music, baseball, and especially the Cubs at a time when "We'll get 'em next year" became a hopeful mantra for the future.
Like the Baumann family, everyone has a story to tell! We hope you'll join us April 8th to tell us yours!
