  • Usher in the Fall at the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce's 31st Annual Apple Fest!

    Dozens of vendors participate in Apple Fest every year, selling everything from candy apples to scarves and hats. Pick up fresh apple pie, hot apple cider, or even a whole bushel of apples!  When you're finished, bring your food to our Lawrence Avenue Music Stage to hear great local music while you eat.

    And parents won't have all the fun!  Kids can play in our Leland Avenue Kids Zone, featuring child-focused activities throughout the day.  There's something for everyone at Apple Fest!

    Location: Lincoln Ave between Lawrence & Eastwood
    (CTA Western Brown Line Stop)
    Admission: $5 Suggested Donation

    Money raised from this event supports beautification projects in Lincoln Square Ravenswood, as well as contributes financially to several community non-profits each year.  Click for more details on how LSRCC supports the local community through Special Events.

    11:30am - 1:30pm - Radio Free Honduras, Latin Folk-Rock
    Honduran music legend Charlie Baran leads Radio Free Honduras through many originals and classics. The band is a diverse collective of Chicago musicians, all united under one goal – supporting the artistry of Charlie Baran and bringing this tremendous talent into the spotlight where it belongs.  Founded by Dan Abu-Absi, longtime guitarist for JT and the Clouds and Birds of Chicago, Radio Free Honduras plays mostly Baran originals, but their live shows often feature a wide variety of reimagined cover songs.

    4:00pm - 6:00pm - The Flat Cats, Swinging Jazz and Blues
    The Flat Cats, based in Chicago, play a range of vintage and modern music rooted in the hottest swinging jazz and blues, contemporary classics, and timeless standards.  Whether you choose to listen, tap your foot, or cut a rug on the dance floor, you are sure to be entertained!  The group is comprised of six talented musicians with years of performing, arranging, and composing experience.

    9:30am - 11:30am - Jonas FriddleIndie Folk / Americana
    Jonas Friddle and some of his frequent collaborators form a four-piece Americana folk rock band. Drawing from the deep well of American Roots music, they play his original songs alongside energetic arrangements of traditional songs on banjo, guitar, fiddle, bass, drums, and trumpet. Jonas was raised in the mountains of North Carolina and has adopted Chicago as his home, having developed strong ties to the Old Town School of Folk Music.His banjo-driven compositions have received numerous awards including Song of the Year from The John Lennon Songwriting Competition, First Place in the Great American Song Contest and a nomination for Album of the Year in the Independent Music Awards.

    The Friends Band has something for everyone!  From top 40 current hits to popular jazz classics, you'll come to enjoy this band as one of Chicago's most delightful group of musicians!

    Los Perros Cubanos plays La Musica Cubana from the 1940's to today. Lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Roger Sosa is a first generation Cuban American, who uses music to blend his cultural history with his American experience.
