Spring Open House at Lillstreet Art Center
Our doors will be open for self-guided tours, hands-on demos, workshops and studio visits. Everyone is welcome to join us for an afternoon of fun and a preview of what's in store for our spring session.
We have a day full of art, creativity and fun planned for all ages this week. Don't miss our lineup of workshops and demonstrations:DIGITAL FABRICATION & DESIGN
Character Design: Characters, Creatures & Costumes
Using random prompts, we'll design original characters. We'll talk about drawing faces, character silhouettes and shapes, dynamic poses, basic anatomy, and costume design.

Hands-On Workshop: Copper Band Rings
Hammering metal can be fun! Learn to create a stamped and textured ring out of copper.

Open Art For Kids!
Join us for springtime crafts in the Kidstreet classrooms! Drop in, decorate your own flower jar and plant a seed for spring. All ages welcome!

Hands-On Demo: Open Wheelthrowing
Try your hands on the wheel and get a little messy. Participants will not get to keep thrown pieces but it’s your chance to experience clay and have fun!

Workshop: Fabric Collage as Art
Collage has been around for centuries and still makes its way into crafts today in the form of scrapbooking, fiber art and printmaking. In this drop-in workshop, you’ll learn the basic techniques of heat press, stitching and small-scale print. These techniques can be used in sync or independently across a surface. Come ready to experiment and leave with a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Workshop: Letterpress Bookmarks
Join us in the studio and make your very own letterpress bookmarks. We’ll teach you to create unique prints using vintage type on an antique press.
