• Apple Fest 2019 - Market/Promo Vendor

    Apple Fest takes place on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 from 9am-6pm. The festival is located on Lincoln Avenue between Eastwood and Lawrence Avenues.

    This application form must be completed by businesses and organizations interested in selling their goods or promoting services at the festival. Member businesses/organizations of LSRCC will be given priority acceptance.

    Market/Promo Vendor applications must be completely filled out and submitted with non-refundable payment and supporting documentation by August 16, 2019. Vendors filing late applications will be assessed a $50 late fee, due with the application. The Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (LSRCC) and Big Buzz Idea Group (BBIG) are not responsible for applications that do not include the necessary documentation.

    Vendors with outstanding debt to the LSRCC or the City of Chicago will not be allowed to participate until outstanding financial obligations are rectified.

    This is a rain or shine event. Inclement weather or Acts of God may result in the cancellation of the event, but not the refunding of fees.

    Tents/Tables are NOT provided with this application. Tents, Tables, Chairs, and other equipment can be rented from the festival at an additional charge. Weights are REQUIRED to be utilized with tents. Failure to comply with this will result in removal from the event.
    Will you need electricity? *
    Electricity is NOT provided with this application. Electricity and other equipment can be rented from the festival at an additional charge, and will require submitting a Equipment Rental Form.

    Promotional Vendor
    General Fee ($750) LSRCC Member Fee ($300)
    An organization/company exhibiting at the event to market their company, a product or a service. No transaction of money is made at the event between the organization/company and consumer.
    General Merchant Vendor
    General Fee ($375 + $25 City Fee*) LSRCC Member Fee ($225 + $25 City Fee*)
    Vendor purchases or makes items and (re)sells merchandise. *An Itinerant Merchant License is issued to any organizer of a short-term trade show, exhibition, event, etc. taking place in the City of Chicago in which vendors will be selling merchandise or providing services. Each General Merchant Vendor will be required to submit the City of Chicago Itinerant Merchant License Fee of $25.
    Are you a Non-Profit organization? *
    NON-PROFIT DISCOUNT: Non-profit organizations must provide verification of non-profit status and a copy of the organization’s 501(c)3. Promotional or Merchant Vendor application fees are 15% off for all non-member organizations and 25% off for all member organizations.
    Please tally up the total of your application fees based on your vendor category selection. (e.g. Non-Profit, LSRCC Member, General Merchant Vendor: $225 x 25% Non-Profit Discount = $168.75 + $25 City Fee = $193.75).
    Submission of a Vendor Application does not guarantee participation in the event. All applicants are reviewed by the Event Committee and notified of their acceptance. Any vendor not approved for the event will be notified and will receive a full refund of application fees.
    Booth Requirements *
    • Booth Space is NOT reserved until payment is received. • Exclusivity is NOT guaranteed to ANY participant. • Booth spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Care is given to businesses on the 4700 block of N. Lincoln Avenue to locate vendor space in front of business. Vendor locations are non-negotiable. • Vendors are responsible for their own signage, tents, tables and equipment. Tents must be weighted. Participants may ONLY market from their assigned space. Drilling into the street is prohibited. • Sidewalks are NOT part of assigned booth spaces. Sidewalks must be left unobstructed at ALL times. Any Vendor using any portion of the sidewalk will be fined $200 per day. • This event is meant to reflect the Lincoln Square and Ravenswood business community at its best. Each vendor is required to empty garbage and recyclables appropriately. Any items that are brought to the event must be removed at the end of the weekend by the vendor. • Vendor space must be kept clean and free of debris. An event staff member will periodically monitor and review space for cleanliness throughout the event. Each vendor is responsible for providing necessary trash bags and properly bagging and disposing of all garbage from your booth. Violators will be subject to a minimum fine of $100 for non-compliance. • Vehicles are only allowed on the street for setup prior to the start of the event and for tear-down after the festival has closed. You will be notified when it is safe to bring your vehicle onto the street. All vendors will receive a confirmation email regarding load-in and load-out times and parking arrangements, in any, for vendors. Each vendor must adhere to the established guidelines. At no time may vendors block residential alleys or drives. • It is advised that all vendors have a plan for safe handling of money (i.e. the periodic removal of cash from the area and a secure method for maintaining cash on site). Vendors at some city events have reported thefts. Please plan accordingly.
    General Guidelines *
    • All event participants and their employees are expected to serve as a positive representation of the community and at no time should there be any illegal activities taking place at the event. Any vendor found in violation of these rules can be fined and immediately removed from the event and prosecuted at the Organizer’s discretion. • Mistreatment of event staff or volunteers will not be tolerated. BBIG/ LSRCC reserves the right to remove any individual or company from the event and ban from future Big Buzz Idea Group productions. LSRCC and BBIG employees, related festival providers and participating sponsors shall NOT be responsible for any injury, loss or damage that may occur to the vendor, its employees or property prior to, during or subsequent to the period covered by the vending contract. The vendor signing this contract expressly releases all of the aforementioned from any and all claims from such loss, damage or injury. • LSRCC is not liable for injury or litigation arising from the products/ services you or your company offer to the public. Products offered must comply with applicable state and federal laws. • This event will be photographed and/or videotaped. By participating in this event you hereby consent to the use of your likeness and/or image in those photographs and/or video for future promotional consideration by Apple Fest, the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce and/or Big Buzz Idea Group.
    Payment Options *
    Checks should be made to the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Payments MUST be received by August 16, 2019 in order to not receive a late fee of $50.
