There’s something nostalgic, and faintly humorous, about pressing a button. The act of inserting or starting up a media player is something we’ve almost completely left in the past. Why do people still seek out record players and Walkmans when we have Spotify? Why do we collect Blu-rays and Criterion special editions or even head to the theater when we can stream?
