• Metalsmithing & Jewelry Teaching Artist

    Lillstreet Art Center is looking for instructors to teach in our Metalsmithing & Jewelry Department. We are specifically looking for teaching artists with the ability to lead beginner to intermediate evening and weekend workshops and/or five to ten week classes covering the following subjects:

    • Jewelry & functional wares
    • Basic silversmithing projects: rings, cuffs, bangles, earrings, pendants, etc
    • Casting 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in studio art or higher; or 5+ years as a working artist
    • At least two years of previous teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
    • Positive, professional and motivated
    • Excellent people skills
    • Must be comfortable working with adults of all skill levels and abilities
    • Evening and weekend availability preferred

    Compensation
