DANK HAUS TO HOST COOKING CLASS BY GERMAN TRAINED CHEF CHRISTOPHER TONG
Fresh from his most recent visit to Germany and Spain, Executive Chef Christopher Tong will provide his popular interpretations of traditional continental fare for a cooking class at the DANK Haus, the German American Cultural Center in Chicago.
Chef Tong will prepare Seared Pork Tenderloin served over homemade Potato Pancake
with Apple-Cranberry Compote. This is a hands-on class. Participants will learn how to shop, prepare ingredients, cook, and present this gorgeous gourmet meal. And, of course the best part: to taste!
The class is $16/per person and is open to all. The price includes a complimentary glass of wine,
German beer or soft drink. Additional drinks are available throughout the class.
These classes are social events for anyone interested in German culinary in a commercial kitchen setting.
DANK Haus is the home of German culture in Chicago. It offers German language classes for adults and children as well as more than 150 cultural events each year. It features a gallery, museum and ballroom serving the German community.
