Create memories and learn lifelong practical skills by channeling different types of creative thought into one approachable custom stuffed animal. This workshop will invite participants to create their own custom monsters or creatures to turn into a felt 3D stuffed animal. Will include education on hand sewing, sewing safety and demonstration of button sewing to provide practical life skills and foster confidence through exploring the realm of our own creativity.
1. Transfer 2D drawing into 3D creature.
2. Provide an individualized experience wherein the project can be completed within the workshop setting and provide an immediately safe to handle project to take home as reminder of what they are capable of! S

Maximum size 6 in. Sustainability & Fun Everyday in our modern world we find ourselves surrounded by excess, fast fashion and deteriorating clothing; outgrown or threadbare, far too often ending up in landfills simply to be replaced with another new poorly fabricated item. This cycle of near effortless consumerism has made sewing a less common skill, but not less important.
Clothing simply isn’t made to last anymore, and someday we all may find ourselves wishing we felt confident in sewing on a button, patch or hemming a pant. This educational experience will encourage a small deviation from this modern course by using repurposed fabrics to build on personalized art projects, encouraging self confidence and creativity to turn an idea into reality through skill building!
Practical Skills: Hand Sewing Beginner level education on sewing tools, how to thread and knot a needle, demonstration of hand sewing techniques. Education on button sewing and opportunity for education on applying embellishments.
II. Project Planning & Execution Experience in turning an idea into a project plan, selecting materials and construction of the finished work to help encourage the exploration of creative minds.
