    As one of Chicago's largest outdoor fall events, Apple Fest brings the community together to celebrate the beginning of autumn.

    This application is a contract based upon the terms set forth by the rules and guidelines below. Fines, penalties, and/or removal from the festival will be enforced for non-compliance. Please read them carefully before completing and signing your application. Your electronic signature acknowledges that you have read and understand the rules and guidelines as well as all fines, penalties or other actions that may be taken. ANY APPLICATIONS THAT MISS DEADLINES FOR PAYMENT AND SUPPORTING PAPERWORK WILL NOT BE PROCESSED OR CONSIDERED FOR ACCEPTANCE.

    MARKET VENDOR RULES AND GUIDELINES
    General Requirements
    Market Vendor applications MUST be completely filled out by August 1, 2023. Vendors filing late applications will be assessed a $50 late fee, which is due with the application. The Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (LSRCC) and Big Buzz Idea Group (BBIG) are not responsible for applications that do not include the necessary documentation. Vendors with outstanding debt to the LSRCC or the City of Chicago will not be allowed to participate until outstanding financial obligations are rectified. This is a rain or shine event. Inclement weather or Acts of God may result in the cancellation of the event but not the refunding of your fees.
    Vendor Fees
    • PROMOTIONAL: A for-profit organization / company exhibiting at the event to market or promote their company, product or service. No transaction of money is made at the event between the for-profit and consumer. • GENERAL MERCHANT: Vendor purchases or makes items and resells/sells merchandise. • NONPROFIT DISCOUNT: Nonprofit organizations must provide verification of nonprofit status and a copy of the organization’s 501(c)3. A 15% discount off the Promotional or Merchant Vendor application fee is offered to non-member organizations and 25% discount is offered to LSRCC members. • LSRCC discounted fee applies to Chamber Members in good standing. To qualify for LSRCC membership, application and payment must be filed by May 15, 2023. • Submission of a Vendor Application does not guarantee participation in the event. All applications are reviewed by the Event Committee and notified of their acceptance. Any vendor not approved for the event will be notified and will receive a full refund of application fees. • Each General Merchant Vendor will be required to submit the City of Chicago Pop-Up Retail Merchant License Fee of $25. • A Pop-Up Retail Merchant License is issued to any organizer of a short-term trade show, exhibition, event, etc. taking place in the City of Chicago where there will be vendors selling merchandise or providing services.
    Booth Requirements
    • Market Vendors are responsible for sharing Booth Requirements, Rules and Guidelines with all staff. • Booth Space is NOT reserved until payment is received. • Exclusivity is NOT guaranteed to ANY participant. • Booth spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Care is given to businesses on Lincoln Avenue to locate vendor space in front of business. Vendor locations are non-negotiable. • Vendors are responsible for their own signage, tents, tables and equipment. Tents must be weighted. Participants may ONLY market from their assigned space. Drilling into the street is prohibited. • Sidewalks are NOT part of assigned booth spaces. Sidewalks must be left unobstructed at ALL times. Any Vendor using any portion of the sidewalk will be fined $200 per day. • This event is meant to reflect the Lincoln Square and Ravenswood business community at its best. Each vendor is required to empty garbage and recyclables appropriately. Any items that are brought to the event must be removed at the end of the weekend by the vendor. • Vendor space must be kept clean and free of debris. An event staff member will periodically monitor and review space for cleanliness throughout the event. • Each vendor is responsible for providing necessary trash bags and properly bagging and disposing of all garbage from your booth. Apple Fest cleaning crews ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for picking up or removal of trash from Market Vendor booths. Violators will be subject to a minimum fine of $100 for non-compliance. • Vehicles are only allowed on the street for setup prior to the start of the event and for tear down after the festival has closed. You will be notified when it is safe to bring your vehicle onto the street. All vendors will receive a confirmation email regarding load-in and load-out times and parking arrangements, if any, for vendors. Each vendor must adhere to the established guidelines. At no time may vendors block residential alleys or drives. • It is advised that all vendors have a plan for safe handling of money (i.e. the periodic removal of cash from the area and a secure method for maintaining cash on-site). Vendors at some city events have reported thefts. Please plan accordingly.
    General
    • All event participants and their employees are expected to serve as a positive representation of the community and at no time should there be any illegal activities taking place at the event. Any vendor found in violation of these rules can be fined and immediately removed from the event and prosecuted at the LSRCC’s discretion. • LSRCC and BBIG employees, related festival providers and participating sponsors shall NOT be responsible for any injury, loss or damage that may occur to the vendor, its employees or property prior to, during or subsequent to the period covered by the vending contract. The vendor signing this contract expressly releases all of the aforementioned from any and all claims from such loss, damage or injury. • LSRCC, Apple Fest and BBIG are grateful for the support of our sponsors. ALL vendors are expected to work with our sponsors and follow contract specifications when applicable. • Mistreatment of event staff or volunteers will not be tolerated. BBIG/ LSRCC reserves the right to remove any individual or company from the event and ban from future Big Buzz Idea Group productions. • LSRCC and BBIG are not liable for injury or litigation arising from products/services you or your company offer to the public. Products offered must comply with the applicable state and federal laws. • This event will be photographed and videotaped. By participating in this event you hereby consent to the use of your likeness or image in those photographs or video for future promotional consideration by Apple Fest, the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce and/or Big Buzz Idea Group.

    Event Rules, Requirements and Guidelines *
    For the safety, security and benefit of our vendors, all participants must abide by the rules, requirements and guidelines. Any non-compliance may result in immediate removal from the festival and further action will be taken if necessary. This acknowledges that you have read and understand the rules and guidelines set forth as well as all fines, penalties or other actions that may be taken.
