Do you wonder whether your alignment is correct in yoga class? Would you like to get clarity on healthy body positioning in your poses?
Get more enjoyment out of your practice by increasing your body awareness and familiarity with specific alignment details. Small changes can have powerful effects for body, mind and breath.
Join Bloom teacher Ginny Sykes in a 2-part workshop exploring anatomy, structure, and posture in both standing and floor poses. Each 90 minute session will enhance your understanding of anatomy, to create a more nuanced foundation for safety, injury prevention, and suppleness. Explore what works for your body and gain more ease in poses by understanding why alignment is important. Expect to experience how attuned body awareness can increase strength and flexibility.
Ginny will guide you through verbal & visual presentation, discussion, and an intuitive flow sequence to help integrate each lesson. This workshop is intended for students with some familiarity of yoga and those looking to grow their anatomical understandings.
Ginny teaches Level 1-2 classes at Bloom and has studied anatomy as a yoga teacher and an artist. She has learned from her own experiences of poor and good alignment and often integrates these learnings into her classes. Ginny cares deeply about anatomy and is excited to help you liberate your practice.
