Kulturkueche - German Ravioli Soup
Many Americans are familiar with the German beer purity laws, but not the fact that in 2009 the European Union recognized Maultaschen as a "regional specialty,” significant to the cultural heritage of Baden-Württemberg. This measure mandates that genuine Maultaschen are only produced in Swabia.
Even though the EU may not approve, students will learn to make this tasty German ravioli soup - meat and spinach filled dumpling served in a light chicken broth with vegetables.
Chef Joseph will provide the recipe, demonstrate technique, and offer some hands on training. Attendees will learn how to make it from "scratch", as well as a short cut method.
The nominal class fee of $18 includes the hands-on demonstration, recipes, one drink, and tasting. Classes sell out quickly so please reserve your space promptly.
Kulturkueche - German Cooking Series is held monthly for all to learn German culinary traditions. We know your Oma made it better - that was the love.
