Illinois food banks brace for increased demand as SNAP rules change

CHICAGO (WGN) – In less than two weeks, big changes are coming to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program known as SNAP.

Thousands of Illinois residents could be without food stamps when the federal government imposes stricter work requirements.
